Doc Lucky “Doc Ruger” on panel of experts at the Oasis SF convention – The Taxonomy of Zombies

At the recent Oasis SF convention in Orlando Doc Lucky (aka Doc Ruger) sat on a panel of experts discussing Zombie Taxonomy.  Doc Lucky created a bit of a stir with his theory  that to be a zombie, by definition,  you must be undead. A few experts disagreed with Doc Lucky’s popular view pointing out that in the movie 28 days later the rage virus victims were not dead.  Doc Lucky retorted that the victims, in fact,  were not zombies but, only ill with a virus.  Doc Lucky defended his position using the example of the ebola virus which makes one ill, disoriented and is easily transmitted, but post death reanimation does not occur.  This differs from a true zombie virus which following death (loss of EEG waves and cardiac arrest) reanimates the cadaver into a zombie (please note that Doc Lucky does not believe that atomic zombies and magical/voodoo zombies exist. Other experts disagree with this position).

I read all the zombie explanations, they were excellent! Thanks, Dr. Lucky for all your research on this project. You are amazing and all the characters in the play. Thanks for the tip about reading up on the Zombie Cause. Keep up the good work!
